Just Lykke was never intended to be a project — it grew from a deep desire to create a sanctuary for our family.
A place far from city noise, pollution, and crowds. A place where nature is not something we visit, but something we live with, respect, and protect.
Our home was built from natural materials, mostly wood, with every piece of furniture handcrafted with care.
Some objects have a soul — like our dining table, made from a century-old oak plank, still gathering people around it, just like it always has.
We heat the house with an energy-efficient heat pump, which allows us to stay warm while keeping our energy use low. In summer, the air conditioning works best when windows and doors stay closed — small gestures that help us care for the planet.
The water you drink comes straight from the Gacka River – one of the cleanest in Europe. Pure and living.
Outside, you’ll find a young orchard and a vegetable garden, grown without pesticides or artificial fertilizers – just as nature intended.
Our flower beds are filled with aromatic herbs like oregano and wild thyme, where beauty and usefulness grow side by side.
Instead of fences, we’ve planted green barriers to create a sense of privacy without separation. The lawn is home to moles, voles, snails — and soon, a pair of Indian runner ducks will join the family, helping us keep balance in the most natural way.
We compost, recycle, and use water mindfully. Our pool is chemical-free, treated only with salt electrolysis, and the house runs on a bio-septic system to keep our environmental impact minimal.
Birds are always near. Their song is part of life here. And just like us, they belong.
Here, you’re invited to walk barefoot, pick herbs from the garden, or simply listen to the wind.
Because at Just Lykke, we believe in something simple and essential:
to live well, live gently, and live in tune with nature.
The Gacka is beautiful to sit beside, listen to, and admire — but please, no swimming.
